Suffolk User Forum is pleased to publish our report containing everyone’s feedback and idea’s shared at our three Stepping Forward events called ‘Stepping Forward with a vision for zero suicide in Suffolk’.
The report contains all of the ideas and contributions people gave our our events and in the many one to one meetings we have had with suicide attempt survivors and families bereaved by suicide.
The report has been sent to Public Health Suffolk and all members of the Suffolk suicide strategy steering group, to ensure that the new strategy for Suffolk due to be presented this autumn shows that it has listened to the voices of people within the County to deliver a meaningful strategy that really can make a difference.
It has also been sent to key staff, Governors and Non-Executive Directors at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT), to support the development of the Trusts suicide prevention strategy.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported these events this summer, sharing ideas and experiences in our many conversations about suicide prevention in Suffolk.
We will be taking forward some of the ideas that people have shared with us in the Event prior to our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 18th October 2016, where ASIST trainers will give an introduction to ASIST training, and we will have other key presentations to support wellness and safety planning.
Please look at the Events page on our website for more information.
