Martin Wright

Martin is a very experienced Chartered Accountant, for 27 years he was a principal in local accounting practices, semi retiring in 2008. He has been involved with many different organisations; this includes large and small commercial organisations, trade bodies, sports clubs and charities. Martin enjoys using his financial expertise but is always keen to ensure everyone understands any financial terms as good communication is vital.

Since 2008, Martin has been involved with Cruse Bereavement Care for several years, both administratively and as a fully trained bereavement counsellor. More recently he was a Governor of NSFT, including co-chairing an important sub committee whilst endeavouring to assist  an organisation in great difficulties. Martin’s strong interest in local mental health has been heightened by three family members having wellbeing issues. He has noticed the excellent work which SUF do and is looking forward to bringing his financial knowledge to the Treasurer role and to working as a Trustee to support SUF.
