I have personal experience of mental health illness so understand some of the challenges faced by service users. I really enjoy working in the field of Mental Health as no two days are the same. I am a family man with a wife and two grown-up kids. I also have four cats and a dog.

About my work
I joined SUF in May 2016 as the SUF Mental Health Advocate. SUF is a great place to work, and I am lucky to be part of a fantastic team who always has the service user at the heart of anything it does. I love being an advocate on the inpatient wards in East & West Suffolk delivering Peer advocacy drop ins. I am now part of the Healthy Together Team supporting people who have had their SMI health checks that have requested other support via the SMI Physical Health Team (NSFT). We are also looking at working with the same client group but from referral from GP surgeries in East & West Suffolk.
Some of my previous positions include being the PALS officer for Suffolk Mental Health Partnership Trust
I have also undertaken voluntary work for mental health charities in Suffolk, including Suffolk Mind, East Suffolk Advocacy Network (ESAN) and was a mental health volunteer. See our advocacy page for further information about my advocacy role.
