Involvement and coproduction opportunity

There are still spaces for people to join us for an online meeting to find out more about a new self-assessment support offer that is being designed by Suffolk County Council?

This new self-assessment support offer will be a new way for people (aged 18+) and their family/parent carers wishing to access social care advice, information, and support in Suffolk to find out what help is available for them.

If you are interested in this, or just curious to know more, join us on 23rd May 2023, from 10:30am to 1:30pm for a virtual workshop. We will be joined by the Suffolk County Council Transformation Manager Jamie Stewart.

Together we will explore.

  • What a good referral pathway would look like for you, to access this offer?
  • What would you like to achieve from an offer like this?
  • Whether you find the questions in the forms easy to understand and engage with?
  • Is there anything else you feel would be of use e.g. rewording of questions, improved layout, better explanatory guidance, links to advice, information, and services etc.

There will also be a chance to discuss how the wider process would work e.g., once assessment is completed, the role Social Care Practitioners would play in this etc.

This workshop will include a demonstration of the Supported Self-Assessment form, with opportunities for discussion and to hear your views and feedback on this. This will be collated and considered to help develop the form and Jamie will return at a later date to share the updated form.

We are looking for up to 10 volunteers to attend this.

You will be able to attend online from home, or can join us and attend on line at our Suffolk User Forum office in Kesgrave.
