They follow a person’s experience from when they first come to us, through what they found helpful, to what changed for them afterwards. Sometimes the change is confidence, sometimes clarity, sometimes simply feeling heard. These moments help commissioners understand the value of lived experience in a way numbers cannot.
For SUF, impact stories also reveal the themes people share. One person’s experience often reflects what others are facing, which helps us shape priorities and show why our work matters. Most importantly, they remind people that what they share can influence how services are designed and improved.
