I was referred to Healthy Together for healthcare follow up appointments, including podiatry care, as my toenails had not been cut for over a year and I was finding walking painful.

When my peer support worker called me, my biggest concern on the day was that my kitchen sink was blocked and had in fact been blocked for six weeks. Although I had called housing daily, no one had been out to fix it. My Peer support worker offered to call housing for me and within two hours a plumber came out. My sink was unblocked. I was so pleased, as this had gone on for such a long time.

With this being sorted, my peer support worker arranged for a private podiatrist to visit me at home. They also arranged for me to have my covid and flu jabs. This has all revolutionized my life, I am now pain-free and mobile. I feel much more confident and can now arrange my own podiatry and other health appointments. I am also now having refresher driving lessons and look forward to driving again.
